How do I transfer a domain to Bandicoot?
In order to transfer a .com .net or .org domain, an email will be sent to the administrative contact for the domain. Checking the whois details will show you this in most cases. If you arent sure, call us on 0845 45 82572 or complete our online form specifying the domain you would like to transfer and we will take a look.
Please note that you cannot transfer a domain if it is less than 60 days old, it is locked, the domain name is in dispute, the name has expired or the admin contact has an invalid or a non-responding email address.
In order to transfer a .co.uk or .org.uk domain, you will need to ask the current TAG holder to change the IPSTAG so that control is transferred.
In both cases, please complete our online form informing us of the domain you would like to transfer. We will review the request and contact you with user-friendly instructions to ensure that the transfer process is a smooth one.
No payment will be taken until the domain is under our control.
What technologies do you run on your shared hosting servers?
Sites on our shared hosting servers currently benefit from ASP, ASP .net v2, PHP, Perl, CGI, CDONTS, CDOSYS, MS Access, Dundas ASP Mailer and Dundas ASP Upload. They also have the option of connecting to MySQL and Microsoft SQL 2000 databases.

What is 'space' and what is 'traffic'?
Space refers to amount of disk space that is occupied by your website. Each letter on each page takes up one byte and one megabyte (Mb) is approximately one million bytes. Generally, html web pages are small, but other files, such as images video and databases, can be much larger.
Traffic refers to the amount of data that is downloaded by visitors to your site. One gigabyte (Gb) is approximately one million megabytes.
Can I host Flash on a Bandicoot website?
Flash is a client side plugin. You can add flash files to your website and as long as the users browser has installed the Flash plugin, it will run.
I have a website but would like it updating, is this something you can do?

How do I upload my website to the Bandicoot server?
You will have been provided with a hostname, username and password when you bought your site. The easiest way is to use Internet Explorer, which comes with Microsoft Windows.
In the address bar, enter ftp:// followed by the hostname supplied. It should then ask for your username and password.
When it connects, if it is a new site, you will see a holdingpage.htm file. You can drag your new files and folders into this area to upload your site.
